Plasma Skin Tightening

Plasma Skin Tightening (also known as Fibroblast treatment) is described as "soft surgery" because it delivers results similar to cosmetic surgery but without cutting, stitching or general anesthetic.  During the treatment an extemely accurate hand held device works by utilising an electrical arc created between the tip of the machine and the natural gases emitted from our skin. The arc instantly shrinks the targeted skin thereby tightening it.

The cost of the treatment is significantly less than cosmetic surgery

    Frequently asked questions:

How long do the results last?

Plasma Skin Tightening is more than a simple skin tightening treatment - skin volume is actually reduced during the treatment and the dermal layers below the surface are rejuvenated so the effects last as long as they would with invasive surgery (FOR YEARS AFTER TREATMENT)
Unlike Botox & Filler treatments the results achieved with Plasma Skin tightening do not revert back over time. The results are not entirely permanent because it does not stop the aging process - however the results last for years following treatment.

How many treatments are required?

Usually only one or two treatments are required (for general skin tightening), however the number of treratments needed will vary according to the area being treated, the individuals skin laxity (how loose the skin & how deep the wrinkles in that area are) and individual expectation.

A free consultation prior to treatment can be booked to discuss a treatment plan or answer any questions you may have regarding the treatment

What to expect during the appointment:
  • First we will discuss which areas you would like to treat and what your expectations of thetreatment are - you can ask questions and we will determine a treatment plan.
  • Photos will be taken to document your progress
  • A topical anethetic / numbing cream is applied & left to take effect for 30 minutes to ensure you are comfortable at all times during the treatment
  • Once the treatment begins, multiple connections of the CE certified plasma pen tip, spaced closely together - creating minute "dots" are created - these dots become "carbon crusts" (similar to tiny scabs)
  • During the treatment you may feel some heat generated in the area. This can be slightly irritating or uncomfortable but not unbearable
  • Treatment times vary from a couple of minutes to sixty minutes - depending on the size of the area being treated
  • Immediately after the treatment the area may be red, mildly swollen and you may experience a sensation similar to sunburn which can last for a few hours
  • After the treatment, aftercare advice will be given to you. It is very important that you avoid sun exposure on the area to avoid hyperpigmentation
  • A noticeable result can be seen immediately ***results vary per individual
  • Slight tenderness & swelling may be evident (especially in the case of an eye treatment) and can be expected for a few days followinmg the treatment.
  • Following the treatment the "carbon crusts" will naturally fall off in 3-7 days revealling new pink skin
